Are you a UNB student looking for paid workplace experience doing research for and about New Brunswick? Well, look no further: NB-IRDT is officially accepting applications for its 2021 Pathways to Professions program, and we would love to hear from YOU!

Pathways to Professions (P2P) is a 13-week virtual experiential learning program providing UNB students from the Fredericton, Moncton, and Saint John campuses with hands-on workplace experience and training in research methods and workplace readiness.

This is a paid position from May 17th – August 13th, 2021. Applications are due March 15th, 2021.

In 2021, NB-IRDT is hosting multiple research streams and hiring at least 11 undergraduates and one graduate student for the positions of:
  • Data Analysts
  • Communications Coordinators
  • Project Coordinator
*The graduate position will play a leadership role in one of our new research streams: VitalSignsNB.
What are the current Research Streams?
  • The BoostNB project provides a straight-forward economic analysis (dashboard) of NB to show whether the province is progressing toward key economic goals.
  • ExperienceNB will conduct a community impact assessment of experiential education opportunities at UNB and beyond to better understand the impact of programming on post-secondary students.
  • The PopNB project analyzes population data to better understand the population growth, mobility, and demographics of NB in comparison to other provinces and Canada as a whole.
  • The VitalSignsNB project will provide an in-depth comparison of the costs associated with pharmacist- versus physician-administered vaccinations in NB.
